Brooklyn Industries turns its "Live, Work, Create." slogan into a neighborhood manifesto, picturing Aesop Rock on a Williamsburg street with a finger pressed to his lips under a scribbled script logo and a golden cassette tape. The copy tells the label's story, from its start in 1998 in a factory building to its artist collaborations, naming hip-hop producer Pete Miser, soul diva Maya Azucena and graffiti legend NYC Lase. The pitch is community, creativity and street credibility in apparel and bags for city life. This 2005 page captures the mixtape-era swagger of the 2000s.

  • Hand-scrawled caption and tape graphic give the layout a retro-audio feel
  • Long text block also credits SA Smash and the Def Jux crew as collaborators
  • Sneakered, baseball-capped portrait with parked cars shows everyday city style
  • Measures approximately: 8" x 11"
