American Express Rewards Quirky Masks Hedge Humor Print Ad 1999 1990s (2pgs)

American Express wants rewards to feel like a private joke between cardmembers, and this 1999 two-page spread plays it for laughs with two carved tribal masks peeking over a trimmed green hedge. One wears a yellow shirt, the other a cardigan and a flashing peace sign, a goofy suburban scene that pokes fun at vacation souvenirs. The left page addresses a couple by name about their trip to Pago Pago. This two-page spread was carefully removed from a magazine, so the image may not line up exact in the center.
